Or Why Are You Making Life Harder for Yourself?

We have moments when we are puzzled by our actions, thoughts, or words, which are against our best interests. Do trees lose their leaves and wither in summer on their own? Would your wise cat or dog consciously hurt themselves? Look at people now, and maybe even yourself, when you say one thing and do another, then wonder why things don't work out. The topic is broad, but let's look at it to become more self-aware during our beautiful life here.

Self-sabotage is defined as any behavior, emotion, or thought that distracts you from your conscious goal. It sounds logical, but it has nothing to do with common sense. How can one intentionally harm oneself? And yet, it happens. Let's examine some moments in our lives.

Psychology finds the roots of this phenomenon in the fear of failure and success, low self-esteem, and cognitive dissonance. It recommends quickly recognizing such actions as procrastination, trendy perfectionism, or negative self-talk. Remaining in trauma and prolonged stress also contribute to this.

Neurobiology points to the functioning of the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for planning and impulse control. When deregulated, it can lead to poor decision-making and self-regulation. Additionally, neurotransmitter imbalances like dopamine and serotonin can affect mood and motivation.

A classic example of self-sabotage is the Greek myth of Daedalus and Icarus. The father, a skilled craftsman, prepared two pairs of wings to escape Crete with his son by flying over the Aegean Sea. He warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, as the wax holding the feathers would melt, making flight impossible—a simple task. However, Icarus became so fascinated with his newfound abilities that he flew too close to the sun, causing his wings to melt, and he fell into the sea and drowned.

So, how do we deal with our self-sabotaging behaviors in life? Here are holistic methods I've used for years with clients:

  1. Working with Your Shadow: Addressing negative thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that you subconsciously or semi-consciously carry. There are many therapies and tools for this now. Ensure they are quick and effective. We live in transformative times on Earth, encouraging us to return to our own power. Life is too precious to suffer.

  2. Clearing Toxic Patterns from the Subconscious: Through energy sessions like regression therapy. If you can't find the cause of your self-sabotage in this life, it may stem from previous incarnations. The best time to release it is now.

  3. Energy Cleansing: Removing toxic energies from your aura, working with crystals, plants, or the Elements to be free from subliminal toxic energies of the Matrix system. Take care of your energy.

  4. Using Mental Tools: Setting and sticking to personal goals. Ask yourself: What else can I do about this? Use positive affirmations to reprogram your mental beliefs. You control your thoughts. Choose them rationally and positively.

  5. Being Present: Stay grounded and connected to the Earth's energy, which takes away our lowest energies of fear or madness. Hugging trees, and contact with plants or animals provide a powerful dose of positive energy. Nature is the best free therapist 🌳

  6. Being a Conscious Observer: Monitor your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions using relaxation or meditation techniques. This way, you harmonize your hormones and cleanse your prefrontal cortex, allowing for conscious decision-making and behaviors leading to specific goals without doubt or madness.

  7. Keeping Your Body Free of Tensions: Release stress and lingering toxic emotions. Your body is your subconscious. Every movement, like running, gym, yoga, or breathwork, releases body tension if done correctly. Movement is an intention for change for the subconscious. Move as much as possible, and your subconscious will know that life is changing and feel safe with it.

  8. Working with Heart Coherence Techniques: Gratitude is the gateway to opening the heart chakra even more. It causes a greater flow of pure Love energy towards yourself. If you love yourself more, you will never be able to hurt yourself, make toxic decisions, or run away from success.

  9. Working on Forgiveness: Both to yourself and others. Life is an eternal school that gives us lessons, and we as Spiritual Beings have to learn them wisely. Ensure your life experiences are of high quality rather than a large number of repeated situations, which are unlearned lessons dragging on throughout life. There are so many good things here worth experiencing instead of constant soap operas.

  10. Most Importantly, Be Honest with Yourself: Life is not a wish concert but a series of causes and effects. So, approach yourself honestly and look at the world and your capabilities realistically. Nothing will succeed if you live in self-deception. The Universe will quickly verify you.

There are probably thousands of ways to free yourself from self-sabotage. The most important thing is to notice its mechanisms, check its source, and free yourself from it. Building greater love for yourself in a healthy way will be helpful.

Loving yourself, you will never hurt yourself 💗💗💗
